Terms of Service

Last updated: July 19, 2026

These Terms govern your use of MP3Transcript, including the public Free transcription tools, private Workspace, accounts, subscriptions, add-on allowances, exports, and AI-generated outputs. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, the security of your credentials, and activity performed through your account or Guest session.

Do not share passwords, authentication cookies, claim secrets, or signed storage URLs. Notify us if you believe your account or Project access has been compromised.

Your Media and Processing Rights

You retain your rights in media and text you submit. You grant MP3Transcript and its service providers the limited permission needed to store, copy, transmit, normalize, transcribe, summarize, generate requested content, display private results to authorized users, and delete the material as part of operating the service.

You represent that you own the submitted media or have all permissions, licenses, notices, and consents required to process it, including the voices, personal information, copyrighted material, and confidential information it contains.

Prohibited Inputs and Uses

You may not use MP3Transcript to:

  • Process media you do not own and are not authorized to use.
  • Bypass logins, paywalls, private access controls, DRM, platform restrictions, or technical protection measures.
  • Submit illegal, exploitative, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or malicious content.
  • Violate privacy, publicity, confidentiality, intellectual-property, employment, recording-consent, or data-protection rights.
  • Upload malware or attempt to probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
  • Automate abusive account creation, evade limits, resell unauthorized access, or use results to impersonate or deceive others.

We may reject, suspend, limit, or delete content or access when reasonably needed to enforce these Terms, protect users or providers, comply with law, or maintain service security.

Supported Inputs and Product Boundaries

Launch direct uploads support MP3, M4A, WAV, and MP4 up to 100 MB. Public Link supports direct public HTTPS media URLs within the documented formats and does not support ordinary webpages, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, private, login-only, paid, DRM-protected, or live content. Browser recording depends on secure browser support for MP4/AAC.

Supported formats, providers, limits, and features may change. Renaming an unsupported file extension does not make the underlying media supported.

Transcripts and AI-Generated Outputs

Speech recognition and AI-generated content can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your purpose. Background noise, accents, overlapping speech, source quality, and model behavior affect results.

You are responsible for reviewing transcripts, speaker labels, timestamps, summaries, captions, and content drafts against the source before relying on or publishing them. Outputs are not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

Summary and fixed Content Templates are derived artifacts. They do not replace the source transcript and may reference a specific transcript revision.

Allowances, Plans, and Failures

Guest and Free users share the published Free transcription boundary: currently three requests per 24 hours and up to the first five minutes of each Source Asset. Signing in saves the Project but does not use a different transcription model or create another Free transcription. Account, browser, device, and network signals may be used to enforce this boundary.

Paid plans and Add-ons use transcription minutes, while AI features use AI generation units. Processing may reserve allowance while a paid job is active; qualifying provider or workflow failures release the reservation under the documented product rules. Subscription allowances renew and expire with their billing period. Permanent Add-on allowances do not expire but do not change your subscription plan or retention window. We do not promise unlimited use.

Billing, Renewal, Cancellation, and Refunds

Prices, currency, billing interval, and included allowances are shown before checkout. Subscriptions renew until canceled through the available account or payment-provider controls. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not normally reverse processing already delivered or the current paid period.

Payment providers process the transaction under their own terms. Taxes, exchange rates, fees, and refund rights may vary by location and provider. If a charge is incorrect or a purchased allowance was not granted, contact support with a non-sensitive order reference. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

Retention and Deletion

Guest Projects are scheduled for deletion after 24 hours. Other retention windows are shown on Pricing and may depend on the active plan or subscription period.

Uploaded, recorded, or imported original media may be converted into a private storage-optimized MP3. After that conversion is safely committed, the original object is deleted and is not available for video playback or recovery through the service.

Deleting a Project immediately removes your access and starts asynchronous cleanup of source media, transcripts, revisions, summaries, content artifacts, and related private objects. Permanent deletion cannot be undone, and some backups or provider records may expire later under their own retention schedules.

Intellectual Property and Feedback

MP3Transcript, its software, design, trademarks, and documentation are protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the service to you. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without an obligation to compensate you, provided we do not claim ownership of your submitted media or private content.

Availability and Changes

The service is provided on an as-available basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, providers, limits, or integrations. Durable workflows reduce interruption risk but do not guarantee that every job will finish or that the service will always be available.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. You are responsible for backups and for verifying outputs before use.

To the extent permitted by law, MP3Transcript and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from your use of the service. Mandatory rights and liabilities that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, security threats, fraud, unlawful use, nonpayment, or legal requirements. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect.

Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear above. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or account channels when appropriate.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@mp3transcript.com. See the Contact page for what to include in a support request.
