How to generate SRT from audio

The same timed transcript can support subtitles, captions, searchable notes, and later creator workflows.

1. Upload the audio

Choose MP3, M4A, or WAV up to 100 MB, or use a supported direct public media link, then confirm your processing rights.

2. Review the transcript

Check names, numbers, speaker turns, and uncertain passages by playing the audio from the relevant timestamps.

3. Export timed text

After complete transcription, save corrections and export the current revision as SRT or WebVTT for your destination tool.

Audio subtitle use cases

SRT is not limited to an existing video file. It can be the timed text layer for several creator and accessibility workflows.

Podcast clips

Create timed text before turning an episode excerpt into an audiogram or social video.

Voice recordings

Convert a browser recording or supported audio file into a reviewable timed transcript.

Video production

Prepare captions from a separately recorded voice track before combining it with visuals.

Accessibility

Use reviewed timed text as a starting point, then validate reading order and presentation in the final player.

Searchable archives

Keep the complete transcript as readable text while also exporting a timed subtitle file.

Private projects

Source audio is access-controlled, follows plan retention, and can be removed by deleting the Project.

Generate SRT from your audio

Upload an audio source, verify the timed transcript, and export subtitles from the complete reviewed revision.
