Copyright Policy

MP3Transcript processes audio and video that users upload, record, or import from supported direct public media links. Users must own the media they submit or have all permissions required to process it. This page explains how we handle copyright infringement reports involving content processed through the service.

What MP3Transcript Processes

When a user creates a Project, we convert the submitted source into a private, storage-optimized MP3 and generate a timed transcript from the spoken content. The transcript, any AI-generated summaries, and fixed content-template outputs are derived from the user's source media.

MP3Transcript does not host a public content library, publish user transcripts as public pages, or redistribute source media. Projects and their outputs are access-controlled and are not indexed by search engines.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that media processed through MP3Transcript infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to our designated agent containing the following information, as required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):

A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notification.
A description of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it within the service, such as the account email, Project ID, or approximate upload date.
Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

We will review valid notices and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the reported material.

Counter-Notice

If you believe that content removed or disabled in response to a copyright notice was not infringing, or that you have authorization from the copyright owner, the copyright owner's agent, or the law, you may submit a counter-notice containing:

Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the content that was removed or disabled and the location at which it appeared before removal.
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, telephone number, and email address, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which MP3Transcript may be found), and a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original infringement notification.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material in accordance with applicable law.

Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and our Terms of Service, MP3Transcript maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

Scope and Limitations

This policy covers content processed within the MP3Transcript service. We cannot investigate claims about content hosted on third-party platforms, media that was never submitted to our service, or material that has already been permanently deleted under our retention rules.
